Guest Speakers

iabaAt Kingston we regularly invite in many of the industries top illustrators, animators, designers and publishers to come and talk to the students. These are invaluable sessions, giving an insight into the practise and career paths of the guest speakers.

Recent Guest Speakers include

Sir Peter Blake gave a talk to Kingston students about his 28yr long project illustrating Dylan Thomas’s Undermilkwood.

Peter joined by his daughter Rose Blake (Ex- kingston illustration student)  described his practise and research methods that led to this epic project that spanned nearly 3 decades. The current first year students are working with Undermilkwood as part of their classic text project so this gave them a wonderful insight into the development and creation of this unique body of work by one of Britain’s most respected Artists.
