The Stanley Picker Gallery is one of forty organisations selected to host a Weston Jerwood Creative Bursary, a post which is aimed specifically at recent graduates. Organisations have been selected on the basis of their outstanding proposals for roles which develop recent graduates, giving each bursary recipient the best possible start to their career in the arts. Graduates will need to meet specific academic and financial criteria in order to qualify.
Stanley Picker Gallery is committed to making a vital contribution to contemporary digital practice, providing new opportunities for artists, designers, academics, students and technology-sector experts, and commencing January 2016, the Gallery is offering a 6-month full-time fixed-term placement, to assist with developing the Stanley Picker Gallery’s digital presence and introduce a programme of exciting new digital activity at the venue. In order to qualify for the Bursary graduates will need to meet specific academic and financial criteria.
The Digital Projects Assistant will assist with developing and delivering a range of events online, onsite and offsite, to bring new ideas and audiences to the Gallery. An excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who has embraced digital technologies during their studies and wants to develop a career within the cultural sector, the successful candidate will be an innovative ‘digital-champion’ who is keen to engage new gallery audiences through social-media and other digital platforms.
