Born in the UK Jon previously worked as a photographer’s agent before returning to full time education at the age of 33, in 2006 he graduated from Bucks & Chilterns University in High Wycombe with a first Class Hon's in Furniture and Product Design. From there he went on study his Masters under Ron Arad within the ‘Design Products’ department at the Royal College of Art, graduating in 2008, where he was directing tutored by Michael Marriott and Luke Pearson (Pearson Lloyd).

Meeting whilst studying at the RCA, Jochem Faudet and Jon have shared a studio in East London since 2008. After several years of successful collaborations in 2011 they decided to form a partnership ‘Faudet-Harrison’. Working on a cross section of product, furniture, interior and exhibition design they have already built up an extensive client list including, SCP, Thorsten Van Elten, Dunne and Raby, Habitat and The Design Museum.

‘Jon Harrison is a mature English designer with good sense. His furniture is the result of a personal modesty alongside both material and structural expertise – a rare chemical combination for design. The furniture and products have levity but also longevity.’

Kim Colin (Co Founder, Industrial Facility), ‘Grand Designs’, March 2010.
